As Colorado’s past is swallowed up daily by the manic, urban, insanity that has overrun the state, it is easy to forget about those who came before us- But there were thousands of them, and their final resting places can be found tucked away in the trees or in isolated corners of the prairie. Looking for the old cemeteries is a task of patience to find em. The Kansas pacific RR was built across Eastern Colorado and the only old cemetery I’ve found so far has been in Hugo. It is north of town in a pasture, with dates back to the 1880’s and numerous unmarked/undated graves. Kit Carson, should have a huge old one but none of the locals have any idea where to look.
Looking for two graves. Mike Angelo Rosetta and Mozzie, Mrs.Mike Rosetta
Not mozzie should say Lizzie

I tried to find the Bald Mountain Cemetery west of Nevadaville last summer without success. I do not use GPS, and directions on Google maps were horrible. Can you give me better directions, please. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.
